Fern Siegel

The Orville got its season three launch date from Hulu, now set for March 10, 2022. The Seth MacFarlane sci-fi series, which aired its first two seasons on Fox, is a space adventure series set 400 years in the future. Dubbed “The Orville: New Horizons,” the new season finds the crew of the U.S.S. Orville navigating the universe and their own personal relationships.

Here are additional deals and projects:

  • Peacock debuts the new animated series spinoff “Dragons Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky on Nov. 24. It follows the adventures of Viking twins Dak and Leyla, who were raised by dragons. Along with young dragons Winger, Summer, Cutter, and Burple, they defend other dragons on exciting adventures around Huttsgalor, their home. The voice cast includes Nicolas Cantu (“The Walking Dead: World Beyond”), Brennley Brown (“Dragons: Rescue Riders”), and Carlos Alazraqui (“Reno 911!”). The streamer is also offering all eight “Harry Potter” films on October 15.

  • “Tiger King 2,” is returning to Netflix before the end of 2021. No specifics, but the tale of Joe Exotic, who failed to gain a pardon from Donald Trump, continues.
