YouTube to Stream Hannibal Buress’ Latest Comedy Special ‘Miami Nights’

Comedian Hannibal Buress is streaming his comedy special “Miami Nights” on YouTube July 3 at 9 p.m. ET.

Star of Adult Swim’s “The Eric Andre Show,” Buress’ show is based, in part, on a run-in he had with police during Art Basel Miami in 2017. The incident was captured on the Miami police officer’s body cam.

Buress was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for disorderly intoxication, as police stopped him from entering a bar. The comic said he was trying to get a phone charger, so he could call for an Uber.

Part of the trailer for the upcoming show includes some footage from his arrest. (The charges were later dropped.) The special is directed by Kristian Mercado (“Mariposa,” “Awkwafina-Pockiez”) and produced by Isola Man Media.

Buress has also appeared in “30 Rock” and “Broad City” and released five previous comedy specials. He posted a 13-second teaser video for “Miami Nights” on YouTube.

Separately, Dave Chappelle surprised fans last Friday with a new special titled “8:46,” which premiered on the “Netflix Is a Joke” YouTubeChannel. Chappelle addresses the tragic passing of George Floyd at the hands of police enforcement in May. According to Deadline, the special was filmed on June 6 in Beavercreek, Ohio.
