The 122nd edition of the Roland Garros (AKA French Open) is just around the corner, and tennis streaming is set in the United States for complete TV coverage of the prestigious event. NBC, the Tennis Channel, as well as Peacock, will be your go-to destinations to catch all the action of the 2024 Roland Garros. The Tennis Channel, known for its extensive coverage of tennis events, will be airing most of the live matches on weekdays, starting at 5 a.m. ET. For the most crucial matches of the tournament, NBC has you covered.

Can You Watch the French Open on ESPN or ESPN+?

While ESPN covers the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open (three of the four grand slam tournaments), it announced in August 2015 that the service would not continue sub-licensing the rights of the French Open broadcast because it could not be the exclusive rights holder. It had done so for 8 years (2007 to 2015) as a sub-licensee but has left it to The Tennis Channel and NBC, which has been airing the matches since 1983.

What’s best way to stream the French Open?

We’d rank the remaining services in the following order: Fubo, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube.

  • fuboTV: Fubo is already one of the most expensive live-streaming services and the Tennis Channel is an additional subscription charge. But at least it has everything you need to watch all the matches and has multi-screen capabilities like DIRECTV STREAM. It also has a free-trial period of 7 days, which can give you most of the tournament.
  • Hulu Live TV: If you already pay for Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+,then this is a great way to save some money by bundling everything together at $76.99 / month. This will give you access to all the major matches of the Grand Slams. However, Hulu Live TV does not carry the Tennis Channel at all so you’ll have to stick with the major finals that air exclusively on NBC.
  • YouTube TV: While YouTube carries NBC, it doesn’t carry The Tennis Channel and you don’t get other perks like you would with Hulu Live TV (such as ESPN, Hulu Originals, or Disney movies). However, if you already pay for the service, you’ll at least get the major matches.
