Disney Visa Cardholders Targeted with 2 & 3 Year Disney+ Deal

While not as attractive as their D23 “Founder’s Circle” deal that dropped the price of Disney+ to just $3.92 a month — Disney Visa cardholders can now get a deal of their own.

Cardholders have begun receiving offers via mail to sign-up for the streaming service at a discounted price. In the deal, customers have an option of $20 off 2-years ($5 a month) or $40 off 3-years ($4.72 a month) of Disney+. In comparison, when it launches on November 12th, the service will cost $6.99 a month or $5.83 when you pre-pay for a year.

Disney is currently in growth mode for all their streaming products — including Hulu and ESPN+. Right now, Hulu is offering 6 months of their Limited Commercial plan for just $2.99 a month (normally $5.99), while ESPN+ is available for just $3.33 a month (normally $4.99), when you pre-pay for a year.

But their sights are set for a major launch of Disney+, which comes on November 12th at just $6.99 a month, nearly half the price of Netflix ($12.99). The service includes four simultaneous streams, unlimited downloads, 4K streaming across a range of devices including Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Chromecast, iOS, Android, & Web.

Starting with the 2019 theatrical slate, all Disney/Pixar/Marvel/Star Wars films will become exclusive to Disney+ meaning movies like the live-action versions of Aladdin, The Lion King, Captain Marvel, and Avengers: Endgame will only be available to stream on Disney+. The company also announced an original slate including a 10-episode Star Wars series, called The Mandalorian, from Jon Favreau which will be available at launch in November.

The first year will include 25 new original series, 10+ movies, 7,500 past episodes, 100 recent movies, and 400 library titles including the entire Disney Vault. Previously, many of those new releases and library films would have gone to Netflix as part of a distribution deal that started in 2016.
