EXCLUSIVE: YouTube TV Passes Hulu Live TV for Most Local ABC, NBC, CBS, & FOX Affiliates
With their nationwide expansion yesterday, YouTube TV now has more local affiliates than any other Live TV Streaming Service.
Prior to the expansion, the service had just over 400 ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX affiliates. After, they now have over 750 major network affiliates. In comparison, Hulu Live TV which previously held the top spot, had just over 700 local affiliates from the big four major networks.
How The Streamable Measures Local Affiliates
We measure local affiliates by individual local channel, not by market. For instance, if WNBC is in Hartford and New York, it would count as single local affiliate.
You can see all locals available in each of the 210 markets or by using our Local Channel Finder Tool.
While YouTube TV has the most overall, Hulu Live TV still has FOX affiliates in more markets. When you include The CW and MyNetworkTV, YouTube TV now has nearly 100 more local affiliates than Hulu Live TV.
The two services are now significantly ahead of the other major Live TV Streaming Services when it comes to locals.
PlayStation Vue has almost 580 major network locals, while AT&T TV NOW has 365, and Fubo — which doesn’t carry ABC has 337.
Sling TV — which has stopped adding locals due to rising costs —only carries a total of 29 FOX and NBC local affiliates.
