Local Now to Stream Feeding America Comedy Festival

Major comedy stars are raising money for the nonprofit Feeding America with a special event May 10.
The Feeding America Comedy Festival will stream on Local Now from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET Sunday night, as well as simulcast on Comedy.tv, The Weather Channel and NBC.

Numerous comedy A-listers are contributing pre-recorded two-to-three minute comedy segments to livestream. They include Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Margaret Cho, Billy Crystal, Tiffany Haddish, Jon Lovitz, Eddie Murphy, Sarah Silverman, Kevin Hart, Marlon Wayans and Caroline Rhea, among others.

Byron Allen, Founder/Chair/CEO of Entertainment Studios/Allen Media Group, stated: “Laughter is often the best medicine, and we are extremely motivated to bring attention to issues of food insecurity, and to assist in providing meals to families across the country who are financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Allen partnered with Funny or Die to produce the benefit. Feeding America has a nationwide network of 200 food banks.

Entertainment Studios owns 15 U.S. big four network affiliate broadcast television stations and nine 24-hour HD television networks, including on Comedy.tv and The Weather Channel.
