Report: YouTube TV Has 1 Million, PlayStation Vue 800K, and fuboTV 300K Subscribers

According to a report from eMarketer, PlayStation Vue may be bigger than some people might have expected. Based on their estimates, the service had reached 800K subscribers by the end of 2018. Previous reports had placed them anywhere from 400-600K subscribers. Hulu Live TV announced in September that they had reached 1 million subscribers, but eMarketer speculates that they have surpassed 2 million subscribers.

The report also suggested that YouTube TV had 1 million subscribers, which is slightly less than the 1.5 million that some speculate. fuboTV had announced last September that they had 250K subscribers, which is in line with eMarketer’s estimates of 300K at the end of the year.

Sling TV is still the largest vMVPD with 2.42 million subscribers, ahead of DIRECTV NOW who lost another 83,000 subscribers this quarter leaving them with just 1.5 million.
