
The all-new Amazon Fire TV 4K Stick Max is now shipping.
The new device starts at $54.99 and is 40% more powerful than the Fire TV Stick 4K, which costs $49.99. The streaming player also includes support for Wi-Fi 6, which will allow for smoother 4K streaming if you have a supported Wi-Fi 6 router.
The Fire TV 4K Stick Max has a CPU 1.8GHz, GPU 750MHz, which is faster compared to the CPU 1.7GHz, GPU 650MHz in the Fire Stick and Fire Stick 4K. The device includes the same 8 GB of internal storage as the Fire TV Stick 4K, but has 2 GB of memory, as compared to the 1 GB on the Fire Stick and 1.5 GB on Fire Stick 4K.
To support even better performance on the device is has a brand-new 750Mhz GPU, which you can use to stream games with a Luna cloud gaming subscription.
One new feature to the device is something called “Live View Picture-in-Picture.” With it you can view the front door camera without stopping your show or movie.
Similar to the Fire TV 4K, it has support for HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and immersive Dolby Atmos audio. The device comes with the latest Alexa Voice Remote which has the bright blue button to launch Alexa, along with quick links to Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu.
