DAZN signs $1B Boxing Deal

The Perform Group’s OTT Service, DAZN, has signed a $1B streaming deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. Matchroom Boxing is the largest boxing promoter in the U.K. and recently expanded to the United States late last year.

The deal which lasts for 8 years calls for 32 fights per year including 16 to take place in the United States. The first fights will take place in September and will air exclusively on DAZN in the United States.

DAZN made news earlier this week announcing former ESPN President, John Skipper, as their Executive Chairman.
