DIRECTV NOW Reaches 1.8MM Subscribers, But Growth Appears to Be Slowing
AT&T announced their 2018 2nd Quarter results today and shared that DIRECTV NOW has reached 1,809,000 subscribers. The service added 342,000 net subscribers this quarter up from 312,000 in the first quarter.
DIRECTV NOW makes up over 7% of Total Video Subscribers for AT&T as compared to just 2% just a year ago.
The gains in the OTT service offset the largest decline in Satellite subscribers in two years. DirecTV lost 286,000 subscribers last quarter, while U-Verse saw subscribers increase by 24,000.
