ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff and his son Mac are traveling the world in “Rogue Trip,” which premieres on July 24.
Today, Disney+ dropped the trailer for the globetrotting series.
Part of the show’s impetus is a reflection of Woodruff’s parenting. In 2006, as a war correspondent in Iraq, he was seriously injured by a roadside bomb. But he did not want his four children to grow up frightened, given his experiences.
The two will visit Colombia, Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Lebanon and Ukraine.
Woodruff often reported on war and devastation in various countries. Now, with Mack, he is exploring their upsides. The “Rogue Trip” journey begins in Papua New Guinea, along the banks of the Sepik River.
All six episodes of National Geographic’s “Rogue Trip” are streamable at launch.
Yesterday, Disney+ released “The One and Only Ivan” trailer, which begins streaming August 14. Based on Katherine Applegate’s book, the animated movie centers on Ivan, a 400-pound silverback gorilla. He lives in a habitat in a mall with Stella the elephant, Bob the dog and various other animals.
