fuboTV Integrates with TV App, Single Sign-On Coming Soon

Last week we reported that fuboTV looked to be launching an integration with Apple’s TV App. Today, the company officially announced the roll out becoming just the second vMVPD, after PlayStation Vue to add support for the TV App.

To try it out, search for a show like This is Us and you’ll notice an option to open the show in the fuboTV app. For upcoming shows and events, you can add them to your “Up Next” list for easy access in fuboTV.

Currently, it supports cable and network shows, as well as sports on national channels like NBCSN and FS1, but they will be adding support for Regional Sports Networks in the coming weeks.

One additional exciting piece of news is that fuboTV is in the process of integrating Apple’s Single Sign-On. This means you will be able to log-in to your fuboTV on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV to automatically unlock TV Everywhere apps.

Min Kim, fuboTV’s VP of Business Development

“fuboTV is a leading provider of live sports programming, entertainment and news. We’re hyper-focused on delivering the best, most innovative viewing experiences possible as our recent 4K HDR Beta streams demonstrate. That’s why we’re excited about the fuboTV integration with the Apple TV app.

It’ll allow Apple users to discover that their favorite leagues and matchups are on fuboTV and with the ‘Up Next’ feature, they’ll never miss what’s on. fuboTV subscribers can also find over 10,000 on-demand shows and movies directly in the app.”

The only other Live TV Streaming Service to support Apple’s TV App, PlayStation Vue, added support in October. Other services like DIRECTV NOW and YouTube TV haven’t added integration with the app yet. While Hulu also supports the TV App, it is only available for their SVOD service, not Hulu Live TV.
