Here’s What’s Coming to Netflix in January 2020

And here’s what’s leaving Netflix in January.

Fern Siegel

The powerhouse streamer is shaking up its 2020 offerings, welcoming back fan favorites like “Grace and Frankie,” while saying goodbye to “Friends.” The latter will have a new home on HBO Max, as will Grease, which will join “Grease: Rydell High,” a TV series spinoff of the movie on HBO Max later this year.

Some Netflix viewers might prefer to binge movies on New Year’s Day, with a new selection that includes “Julie and Julia,” “Kill Bill” volumes 1 and 2 and “Shrek Forever After.”

Alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in “Grace and Frankie,” Netflix will debut the third and final season of “Anne with an E,” adapted from Lucy Maud Montgomery’s “Anne of Green Gables,” the beloved Canadian novel about a spunky girl.

Netflix originals “Messiah,” “Spinning Out” and “AJ and the Queen,” a RuPaul-led road trip movie, will also enter the catalog in 2020, as “The Ranch” and “Bojack Horseman” take their final bow in January. So does season three of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” which will find its heroine in hell.

Some notable shows are ending their run on Netflix at the end of January, such as “American Psycho” and “Zombieland.” Here is a long list of Netflix TV shows/movies coming in January.
