Disney-owned Hulu’s four-part Hillary Clinton series “Hillary,” about the 2016 campaign, launches today.
The documentary showcases the former secretary of state during her historic presidential run. It offers unprecedented access to Hillary Clinton, former president Bill Clinton and their daughter Chelsea, as well as politicians and staffers from both parties.
“Hillary” was a breakout doc at the Sundance Festival this year. Nanette Burstein (“The Kid Stays in the Picture”) directed. The series also explores non-political aspects of Clinton’s life and what she represents to Americans.
Various FX shows are also coming to the streamer this week.
As of this month, all FX content streams exclusively on Hulu after it airs on linear TV. That will include “Devs,” an FX original eight-episode sci-fi thriller, which began on Thursday. Directed by Alex Garland (“Ex Machina”), making his debut into TV, it stars Sononya Mizuno stars as a woman who thinks tech mogul Nick Offerman (“Parks and Recreation”) can help find her disappeared boyfriend.
“The Most Dangerous Animal of All” also airs on FX today. It’s a true-crime story about a man searching for his biological father, only to find he may be the legendary Zodiac killer.
Hulu is also developing a limited series based on Judy Blume’s “Summer Sisters” novel. Though best known for her YA novels, the streamer is adapting her 1998 adult novel.
