The top-seeded 49ers take on the Vikings, seeded at number 6. Even though the Vikings are coming as the underdog, their “run-oriented approach” makes them a formidable competitor as they managed to beat the Saints with that same strategy. San Francisco will have to tighten up as their defense is “stronger against the pass than it is against the run,” according to the Sporting News.
After having been matched up against the New England Patriots during the wild card round, no one was expecting the Titans to get into the divisional playoffs, but they did. Now the team has to face off against Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson who is a different quarterback than Tom Brady.
The Texans’ win against the Bills allows them to go against the Chiefs in Kansas City. For their part, Kansas City’s defense keeps improving with each game, making even stiffer competition for the Texans.
The Seahawks’ matchup against the Green Bay Packers promises to be an energy-packed game as both teams are high profile. The Packers, who have had a hard time to stopping the run all season, will have to figure out a way to stop powerhouse Marshawn Lynch who returned to the team during Week 17.
