While the Premier League and La Liga usually get all the glory, fans will be more than thrilled this weekend when the Bundesliga — the German soccer league — comes back after months without live sports. The league opens up with six matches on Saturday, followed by an additional two on Sunday and wraps up with one final match up on Monday.
Leading the pack is Bayern Munich, whose stance is quite vulnerable given the fact that they are only four points ahead of Borussia Dortmund and five points ahead of RB Leipzig, according to Yahoo Sports. Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen are also not too far behind, so Bayern Munich has to come out full throttle.
“Given there is an epic title battle about to take place, there is an equally epic scramble for European qualification. The top four in Germany qualify automatically for the UEFA Champions League group stage and that means one of the five teams mentioned above as title contenders will miss out,” Yahoo Sports noted.
