‘Lost in Space’ Season 2 Is Now Officially Streaming on Netflix
Baby boomers grew up on the TV show’s warning: “Danger, Will Robinson!” But a new legion of fans discovered an updated “Lost in Space” on Netflix.
The sequel to the beloved original, which debuted in April 2018, found the Robinsons 30 years in the future, starting a new life in a space colony with other marooned colonists. There, the intrepid family of astronauts confronted various dangers in an alien environment.
Season two of the sci-fi adventure saga, shot in Iceland and Vancouver, is officially available on Netflix starting today.
The Robinsons now face a new dilemma: They are stranded on an ocean planet and have to depend on the scheming Dr. Smith (Parker Posey) and forever-charming Don West to navigate their escape. Worse, they are devoid of their dependable Robot as they search for safe passage to Alpha Centauri amid new threats to their survival.
The streamer’s “Lost in Space” is created by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, who told IndieWire: “The journey matters a lot more than the destination.”
The cast stars Toby Stephens, Maxwell Jenkins, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio and Mina Sundwall. JJ Feild (“Turn: Washington Spies”) has also joined the ensemble in its sophomore season.
The show is produced by Legendary Television.
