Netflix Ends Deal With The CW, Leaving Them to Find a New Streaming Home

Jason Gurwin

In 2011, Netflix and The CW reached a $1 billion deal to stream all shows from the teen-focused network. While the deal was extended in 2016, which saw the network’s shows pulled from Hulu, and brought to Netflix just 8 days after their season finales. Now, Netflix has decided not to renew the deal which expired at the end of this television season.

According to Deadline, three upcoming shows Batwoman, Nancy Drew, and Riverdale-spinoff Katy Keene streaming rights will be sold individually. Batwoman, which is produced by Warner Bros., will likely end up on the WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service.
