The Olympic Channel Launches on Roku to Bring Content Worldwide

The Olympic Channel, the destination for fans to watch Olympic content all-year round, announced today that they’ve brought their subscription-free OTT service to Roku. Before today, the service was made available on Apple TV and Android TV in December 2018, and Amazon Fire TV in February 2019.

The OTT service which launched worldwide following the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio brings together original programming, exclusive interviews with top athletes, and a 24/7 linear channel with Olympic Games event replays.

The Olympic Channel includes 400 episodes of original content featuring more than 60 series developed in 25 different countries. Some of the content includes feature-length films like the The Nagano Tapes, the inspiring underdog story of the Czech Republic’s stunning gold medal win in men’s ice hockey in 1998, as well as The People’s Fighter’s examines Cuba’s boxing culture.

Cord-cutters are likely most familiar with the linear channel with is available across most Live TV Streaming Services. U.S. viewers can watch the live 24/7 stream of The Olympic Channel directly in the new Roku app by authenticating with their streaming service. All VOD content is available to stream without authentication.
