Vidgo Officially Launches With Additions of ABC, ESPN, Disney and Others Starting at Just $39.99 a Month
Vidgo — a prepaid over-the-top streaming service — announced today that they launched a streaming package consisting of 60 channels for just $39.99 per month. Vidgo is currently the only streaming subscription provider to include in its basic package the entire suite of Disney Media Networks including ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, Freeform, FX and National Geographic.
The full suite of networks from Disney Media Networks on Vidgo includes ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, SEC Network, ACC Network, Longhorn Network, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Freeform, FX, FXX, FXM, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo, Baby TV and Fox Life.
Local broadcast channels on Vidgo from ABC Owned Television Stations are available in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh/Durham, and Fresno. The company plans to launch additional ABC markets.
Back in October, Vidgo came out with a soft launch offering a single “early adopter” skinny bundle, similar to Philo, with channels from A+E, Discovery, Hallmark, & Viacom. Now, they are offering comprehensive college sports coverage in their basic package, including 38 upcoming college football bowl games and thousands of college basketball games.
Vidgo is also partnering with, Kiswe mobile—a cloud-based video company that creates digital platforms to engage audiences and communities around the world—to create a social tv streaming experience that allows people to watch and interact with one another during live shows, within the Vidgo mobile app.
