Virtual DC FanDome Kicks Off in August, Updates on Films, TV Shows

Given pandemic restrictions, Warner Bros. got creative.

This summer, the company will launch its own Comic-Con option: DC FanDome. The free virtual fan experience celebrates DC Comics.

The 24-hour event begins August 22 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT at All aspects of the DC Multiverse are covered: movies, TV, games and comics.

DC FanDome houses content in six key areas: Hall of Heroes (Main Hall), DC WatchVerse, DC YouVerse, DC KidsVerse, DC InsiderVerse and DC FunVerse. Since the event is global, content is streamed in 10 languages.

Warner Bros. chair-CEO Ann Sarnoff, stated: “For more than 85 years, the world has turned to DC’s inspiring heroes and stories to lift us up and entertain us, and this massive, immersive digital event will give everyone new ways to personalize their journey through the DC Universe without lines, without tickets and without boundaries.”

Many of the titles celebrated at the event are streaming stalwarts.

Among other titles, DC Universe streams “Titans” and the animated series “Harley Quinn,” while HBO Max streams “Doom Patrol” and the much-anticipated upcoming Snyder Cut of “Justice League.” Hulu streams “Shazam!”

Other fan faves in the DC FanDome mix include “Aquaman,” “The Batman,” “Batwoman,” “Black Adam,” “Black Lightning,” “DC Super Hero Girls,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “The Flash,” “Lucifer,” “Pennyworth,” “Suicide Squad,” “Supergirl,” “Superman & Lois,” “Teen Titans GO!,” “Watchmen” and “Young Justice: Outsiders.”
