‘Weird but True!’ Returns to Disney Plus for Season 3

The Emmy-winning “Weird but True!” series from National Geographic is back on Disney+ for a third season.

The show debuts on August 14.

Charlie Engelman and Carly Ciarrocchi host the series that takes kids on strange and wonderful adventures, while they learn interesting facts about the world. For example, there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on Earth.

The 13-episode third season explores dinosaurs, national parks, trains, venomous animals, scuba diving, rockets and more. Mixing arts, real-life experiences — from hiking volcanoes to flying planes — the pair gets kids excited about the world.

This season features guest appearances from Nat Geo photographers and explorers, including Anand Varma, who teaches the duo how to take the perfect photo, and Darlene Cavalier, professor-founder of SciStarter, who is finding new ways to connect people with science.

Famed astrophysicist Michio Kaku shows up playing fictional character Buster Infinity of the Global Space Administration Interplanetary Expedition.

Seasons one and two of “Weird but True!” are also streaming on Disney+.

“Weird but True!” is produced for Disney+ by National Geographic and Steve Rotfeld Productions.
