YouTube TV Gifting Some Existing Subscribers 3 Free Months of Showtime

Are you ready to binge Billions, Shameless, The Affair, or The Chi for free? Yesterday, some existing subscribers began noticing on YouTube TV, a message that awarded them Showtime for almost 3 months.

As a longtime friend of YouTube TV, we’re giving you SHOWTIME through 9/5. Activate the offer in Settings to include it in your plan at no cost.

The good news is that you don’t even need to remember to cancel, as it continues, “And, no, we won’t automatically bill you when the offer ends.”

If you don’t see a pop-up with the deal when you first launch, check your email, or go straight to Settings to see if you’re eligible. It seems like most people who received the deal were original subscribers who previously were grandfathered at the $35 a month plan, until the recent 42% price hike in April.

This is smart move by YouTube TV, as Showtime is normally $7 a month on the service ($11 elsewhere). By rewarding people during the summer months with less live TV like network shows and sports, this just gives them one more reason to keep their account active.
