How to Watch the Return of the 2019-20 NBA Season Live Online

After a nearly five-month hiatus, the 2019-20 NBA season is finally coming back. The league makes its way back to our televisions today with the Utah Jazz facing off against the New Orleans Pelicans at 6:30 p.m. ET followed by the Los Angeles Clippers against the Los Angeles Lakers at 9 p.m. ET. Both games will be live on TNT.

The NBA is returning with only the top 22 teams in the league eligible to play. From that pool, the top seven teams in each conference will move onto the playoffs with “the final eighth seed in each conference being determined by a potential play-in tournament before the traditional 16-team playoffs,” CNET reports.

Games will take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at Disney World in Florida, and while the park is up and running again, players are to remain in their bubble to avoid contracting COVID-19. While most players have agreed to come back, several of the league’s top players have opted to sit out the rest of the season for safety measures. DeMarcus Cousins, DeAndre Jordan (who tested positive for the virus) and Victor Oladipo are some key players who won’t be rejoining their teammates this season.
