LGBTQ+ Streamer Revry Launches on Samsung TV Plus to Coincide With Pride Month
The alliance coincides with Pride month.
Revry, available on Samsung TV Plus Channel 1226, runs LGBTQ+-themed movies, TV series, news, music and podcasts. It is also accessible as a subscription-based, ad-free streaming service for either $4.99 or $6.99 a month.
Damian Pelliccione, CEO-cofounder of Revry, stated: “We believe representation saves lives, so partnering with Samsung helps us bring our ‘radically inclusive’ entertainment to an even bigger audience, and gives us the chance to change hearts and minds, both inside and outside the LGBTQ community.”
Some of Revry’s shows include the Spanish-language docuseries “The Category,” about the underground ballroom scene in Mexico City, and the comedy “Sink Sank Sunk,” starring Laura Linney.
Revry employs a cloud-based video platform and channel creation software to launch on Samsung TV sets in which Samsung TV Plus has been available pre-installed since 2016.
Revry is currently available in over 225 million households and devices, and can be found on Comcast Xfinity X1, Xumo TV, Zapping TV, STIRR and TiVo+.
Alia J. Daniels, COO-cofounder, Revry, stated: “One of the best things about the new apps is that we’re not locked into only showcasing one point of view at a time. However you identify within the community, chances are you’ll always see yourself reflected back on one of our live channels.”
