Dear White People is back in session on Aug. 2, and Netflix just released the trailer for its third season. This new season promises to give “the same title, new spin” as it continues to follow several black college students in the Ivy League, as they deal with microaggressions and outright racism at Winchester College.
The series, which is helmed by Logan Browning, Marque Richardson, Brandon P. Bell, Ashley Blaine Featherson and Deron Horton will also have a host of guest stars. Yvette Nicole Brown, Blair Underwood, Laverne Cox, Flavor Flav and show creator Justin Simien are all slated to appear on the show.
The series debuted in 2017 and is based on the 2014 film by writer-director Justin Simien, who also handles episodes in the Netflix series.
