You Can Now Watch Live NHL Games with NHL.TV on Android TV

NHL.TV — the league’s out-of-market streaming service — is now available on Android TV. The NHL’s streaming subscription allows you to watch every out-of-market game for $140 (or $100 for the rest of the season).

Prior to today, most Android TV-owners either would either use the built-in “Casting” functionality to mirror the game on screen or use alternative methods like Kodi to watch on devices like NVIDIA Shield and Xiaomi MiBox.

With the addition of Android TV, you can now stream on all major platforms including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, PS4, Xbox, iOS, Android, and Web.

The service will let you choose between home or away broadcasts, watch multiple games at the same time, select camera angeles, and pause and rewind live games. This season, NHL.TV has added 50% more local pregame, postgame, and live intermission shows — as well as the ability to stream games that also air on NHL Network.

Unfortunately, all games on NBC, NBCSN, and local broadcasts will be blacked out. You will need a Live TV Streaming Service for that.
