AT&T Reaches Deal with Spectrum SportsNet LA to Bring Dodgers to Streaming For First Time
While there won’t be any baseball at least this month, when it does come back Los Angeles Dodgers fans will be able to stream games for the first time.
Spectrum SportsNet LA, the team’s regional sports network, will be available across AT&T services including AT&T TV NOW and AT&T TV (as part of their Choice plan). The channels will go live on the service on April 8th.
The deal will also see it on DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse, and throughout the Dodgers coverage area of Southern California, Las Vegas, and Hawaii.

The channel which was launched in 2014, as the result of a 25-year deal with Time Warner Cable, has had trouble gaining distribution. In the LA, the channel had been carried by Charter Spectrum, TWC Spectrum, and Bright House Spectrum. It is not available on Comcast or other streaming services like Hulu Live TV or YouTube TV.
In addition to live games, it covers Dodgers content 24/7 including “Dodgers Clubhouse”, “Backstage: Dodgers”, and “Talkin’ Blue”.
In 2016, the Justice Department had sued DirecTV saying that the company colluded with competitors to prevent SportsNet LA from being carried more widely. The two sides settled, but a deal had not been signed until today
