Bloomberg TV+ to Stream in 4K UHD on Samsung TV Plus

Bloomberg TV+ just became the first 4K UHD channel to launch on Samsung TV Plus.

Samsung’s Smart TV video service offers 120 free channels covering business, finance, news, sports and entertainment, including Bloomberg’s O&O channels, which offer shows such as “Bloomberg Wall Street Week” and “Bloomberg Surveillance.”

M. Scott Havens, global head of digital and media distribution at Bloomberg Media, stated the company is “re-imagining the way news is delivered. As the first business news provider to deliver content in native 4K UHD, Bloomberg TV+ is truly an enhanced modern news experience for those seeking premium global news designed for streaming.”

The service is available on Samsung TV Plus channel 1015. Samsung is the only platform to stream Bloomberg’s premium video experience in full 4K ultra-high definition.

Wurl, a streaming video distribution and advertising services provider to connected TV, is distributing Bloomberg TV+ with High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC), which powers the ad-supported UHD streaming experience.

A division of Bloomberg LP, Bloomberg Media has nearly 3,000 journalists and analysts that create the global multiplatform brand.

Bloomberg TV+ is available on all 2017-2020 Samsung Smart TVs.
