Endemol Shine Group announced they have partnered with STIRR to launch four new channels on the streaming service. The first rollout will begin with channels for “Wipeout Xtra” and “Deal or No Deal,” which will be available as 24-hour streaming channels on the platform. Later this year, Endemol Shine will bring “DIY Daily,” and “Reel Truth Crime” channels to STIRR.
Other series from Endemol Shine’s archive, such as “Flavor of Love,” “McLeod’s Daughters,” “The Simple Life,” “City Homicide” and “My Kitchen Rules,” will also launch as VOD within the STIRR City channel.
“There are many gems in our rich archive and this deal is a brilliant opportunity for us to bring our hit shows to even more U.S. viewers. Our curated content channels are proving very successful and with STIRR’s captive audience we expect to see even more growth in this area,” stated Kasia Jablonska, head of digital distribution and monetisation at Endemol Shine.
Endemol Shine Group has been expanding their reach all year long. In late April, the company also announced they were extending their partnership with Samsung TV Plus with the launch of two new channels in the U.S. — “Sterling Drama” and “Deal or No Deal.”
The company also added another scripted drama channel, “Der Serienkanal,” in Germany. That was followed by the debut of three genre-based channels on Samsung’s TV Plus service in the UK last year in addition to channels launched across Europe including France, Italy and Spain.
In May, the Endemol Shine Group announced that they entered into a multi-territory content partnership with Plex. The deal brings Endemol Shine’s programming to Plex users in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
In June, they announced they entered into a new content partnership with Vizio, giving U.S.-based Vizio SmartCast Home users access to some of Endemol Shine Group’s entertainment channels.
