About Wilder vs. Fury 2 Fight

The fight between Wilder and Fury will arguably be the most significant heavyweight title fight since Lennox Lewis went against Mike Tyson in June 2002, according to Sporting News. Wilder will defend the WBC heavyweight championship against Fury in a highly anticipated rematch, picking up from when the two heavy hitters first faced off back in December 2018. That fight ended in a split draw.

Since that 2018 bout, both fighters have each won two fights, continuing their undefeated streak. Both of Wilder’s wins have come by knockout, while Fury defeated Wladimir Klitschko, breaking his 23-fight title reign and becoming the lineal heavyweight champion. Fury comes in with 20 out of 29 wins by knockout, while Wilder comes in with 41 out of 42 wins by knockout.

“Fighting a guy like Fury, you have to be careful,” Wilder said at a Jan. 25 press event. “Time goes by so fast in the ring. You’re trying to do everything that you prepared for. With what he brings to the table with his boxing skills, you have to have some awareness of the clock. But with my power, it’s his job to really watch the clock and try to avoid me for 36 minutes.”
