Last week, Hulu announced that they would launching their new Android TV App in August. The app is now available to download on Google Play. With the update, Android TV users will now be able to access Hulu Live TV and Hulu’s updated UI through their Android TV device. The update is available across a variety of Android TV devices, including Sony’s Android TVs, NVIDIA SHIELD, Xiaomi Mi Box, and Hisense Android TVs.
Viewers who watch Hulu on any of these devices, will now be able to subscribe to Hulu Live TV and gain access to live and on-demand programming from 60+ top channels, getting news, sports, and entertainment in one place. To access Hulu Live TV and the updated UI, users can visit the Google Play and download the latest Hulu App now.
Hulu Live TV is currently supported on Apple TV (4th gen.), Amazon Fire TV devices, Amazon’s Echo Show, Roku devices, Xbox One, iOS and Android mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, select LG and Samsung TVs, VIZIO SmartCast TVs, Windows 10, Mac and PC browsers, and Chromecast.
In January, Hulu announced a major overhaul of theirApp, which would see significant enhancements for their Hulu Live TV streamers. One of the most anticipated changes with the introduction of a new 14-Day Grid Guide (up from 48 hours), which would allow subscribers to look ahead 2 weeks across all channels.
Currently, the new guide is only available on Hulu.com, but they plan to expand it to more devices including Android TV the coming months.
