PlayStation Vue Raising Price on All Plans by $5 a Month

Following in the footsteps of Sling and DIRECTV NOW, PlayStation Vue announced that all plans — Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra — will increase by $5 a month.

New PlayStation Vue Pricing:

  • Access: $45 (was $40)
  • Core: $50 (was $45)
  • Elite: $60 (was $55)
  • Ultra: $80 (was $75)

In a statement in the company blog, Head of PlayStation Vue, Dwayne Benefield shared:

At PlayStation, we are always evaluating the PS Vue service to ensure we are providing a compelling value to our customers. Unfortunately, we must increase the price of our multi-channel plans to keep pace with rising business costs and enable us to continue offering a better way to watch the best in live sports, entertainment, and news.

The price change will go into effect for new subscribers on July 26th. Existing subscribers will see this change on their billing cycle after July 31.

They are the third Live TV Streaming Service to raise prices this week. DIRECTV NOW announced this weekend that they would also increase all plans by $5 a month. Last week, Sling TV raised the price of their Sling Orange plan by $5.

Earlier this year, YouTube TV and fuboTV each raised prices by $5 a month, but all existing subscribers were grandfathered at their existing rates.

Philo and Hulu Live TV remain the only providers that have yet to raise the price of their plans since launch, but as we’ve learned — all good things may come to an end.
