“Picard” premiered in CBS All Access on Jan. 23. The streamer announced that the premiere episode helped in breaking its record for subscriber sign-ups in a month. Along with the live stream of the Grammys and football, January 2020 beat the previous monthly record of February 2019.
CBS All Access also reported that the premiere of “Picard” broke a new record for total streams and drove the highest volume of subscribers streaming a CBS All Access original series to date. The series is now the streamer’s most-watched premiere ever, beating its predecessor “Star Trek: Discovery.”
New episodes of the series will be available every Thursday exclusively on CBS All Access in the U.S. The popular series has already been renewed for a second season.
