Tubi Becomes Exclusive Home for all 15 Seasons of ‘The Apprentice’ by Signing Unprecedented Content Deal with MGM Television

Tubi, the largest ad-supported video on demand (VOD) service in the world, announced today that it has agreed on a content partnership deal with MGM Television to become the exclusive home for all 15 seasons of The Apprentice franchise, which includes former hosts Donald Trump and Arnold Schwarzenegger during that span. The Apprentice debuted on NBC in 2004, delivering an average weekly viewership of 20.7 million, and was one of the network’s most-watched series with adults between the ages of 18-49. The franchise eventually expanded globally with over 20 local versions.

Beginning today, Tubi customers will be able to easily access each season of The Apprentice franchise for free, with viewers being able to relive moments from names such as Piers Morgan, Bret Michaels, Trace Adkins, Khloe Kardashian and Geraldo Rivera, among others.

Farhad Massoudi, Tubi’s CEO, did share his excitement following the unprecedented deal to exclusively offer The Apprentice to its customers.

“In our quest to democratize content and make more premium content accessible, we are making a big push into the reality television space. The Apprentice is our second big series announcement this month, and we will have more in the near future.”

Tubi recently inked exclusive deals with Lionsgate to stream its Anger ManagementTV show, which stars Charlie Sheen, and, back in February, agreed to a deal with NBCUniversal to stream 400 Classic TV Shows & Films. Tubi continues to expands its already massive content library, with currently contains more than 12,000 movies and TV series. With more than 40,000 hours worth of content to watch — which is more than double the size of Netflix — Tubi continues to rank as one of the most-watched apps on the world’s largest platforms including Amazon’s Fire TV, Roku iOS, Android and others.
