XUMO Ups News Lineup, Adds NBC News Now

XUMO has added NBC News Now channel to its lineup. The streaming network, part of NBC News, is free and ad-supported.

NBC News Now is located on channel 123 in the XUMO guide.

The new channel joins XUMO’s existing 17 news channels, including CBS News, ABC News Live and Newsy. That’s in addition to the streamer’s comedy, sports, music and family entertainment shows.

NBC News Now debuted in early 2019 and is available via NBCNews.com/now, the NBC News mobile app and on the NBC News app on OTT devices, including Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.

XUMO takes library content and turns it into linear channels featured on a grid guide. It also plans to build apps to integrate into Panasonic and Sony smart TVs.

With over 190 channels, XUMO TV is available on smart TVs, iPhone, Pad, Android devices, Roku, or cast with AirPlay, Chromecast, Miracast and Screencast.

Comcast is reportedly in advanced discussions to acquire XUMO.

XUMO claimed 5.5 million monthly active users as of spring 2019.
