Mark Wahlberg, Kaley Cuoco Shooting HBO Max Series

HBO Max is ramping up its celebrity associations.

The streamer has ordered an eight-episode docu-series on actor-businessman Mark Wahlberg called “Wahl Street.” According to the company, the show will “follow Wahlberg as he navigates his expansive business portfolio, spanning all sectors of commerce, ranging from a line of activewear, all-natural, high-performance sports nutrition supplements, television and film production companies, and even a Chevrolet dealership.”

At the same time, Wahlberg wannabes will pitch him their business proposals, hoping he’ll invest in their endeavors.

Walhberg, who has starred various movies, including “Boogie Nights” and “Ted,” also executive-produced several HBO shows, including “Entourage” and “Boardwalk Empire.”

“We’re documenting the ups, the downs, the hits and the misses. It’s all the real stuff that’s happening while I’m growing my businesses,” Wahlberg stated.

“Wahl Street” is produced by Unrealistic Ideas, founded by Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson and Archie Gips. All three will serve as executive producers, along with Liz Bronstein.

Kaley Cuoco, who spent 12 seasons on “The Big Bang Theory,” is stretching her dramatic chops. She stars in and executive produces the upcoming series “The Flight Attendant,” based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian.

Now shooting in New York, Cuoco plays a flight attendant who wakes up in a strange hotel bed after a wild night to find a dead man beside her. Cuoco’s Yes, Norman Productions optioned Bohjalian’s novel to Warner Brothers during her final “Bang” season. She is also the executive producer for the upcoming CBS comedy “Pretty.”

Her breakout role was in the sitcom “8 Simple Rules” and joined the “Bang” cast two years later.
“I wanted to try something different, especially more of a dramatic role, which I don’t think anyone thinks I can do, and I know that I can. So I’m really excited about that,” Cuoco told People magazine.

HBO Max is launching in May at $14.99 a month — the same price as HBO Now.
