This Is How Peacock’s Different Tiers Compare and Who Will Get It for Free

NBCUniversal made the launch of Peacock official today at an investor meeting at Studio 8H of 30 Rock in New York.

The streaming service will launch nationally on July 15, while Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and Flex customers will have access to the service earlier on April 15.

Two tiers of pricing were introduced: Peacock Free and Peacock Premium. This is how the two tiers compare and who will be able to access it for free:

Peacock Free

This ad-supported option version of Peacock will be free to everyone and provide more than 7,500 of programming.

Peacock Premium

This ad-supported version provides more than 15,000 hours of programming and will be free for Comcast and Cox subscribers. Peacock Premium will cost $4.99 a month for all other viewers, while an ad-free version is available for $9.99 per month.

“By delivering timely and topical content like breaking news, live sports, and watercooler moments from late night, Peacock is uniquely bringing a pulse to the world of streaming that does not exist in today’s marketplace,” said Matt Strauss, chairman of Peacock and NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises.
