TV Review: “Forky Asks a Question” on Disney Plus – Should You Watch It?
“The two-minute long episodes give you even more reasons to love Forky”
While the major Pixar series “Monsters At Work” won't debut on Disney+ until next year, the service will have a set of original shorts to whet your appetite. In the series “Forky Asks a Question”, Forky, one of the break out characters from “Toy Story 4” (voiced by Tony Hale), says it best “I was made from trash two days ago, so I got a lot of questions.”
Disney shared with The Streamable a sneak peak of the first two shorts of the series. The first episode has Forky asking the question “What is Money?”, while the second asks “What is a Friend?” The shorts were written and directed by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter and director Bob Peterson (“Finding Nemo,” “Up”).
The two-minute long episodes give you even more reasons to love Forky. In the second episode, where he ponders the meaning of friendship with an inanimate “happy face mug,” he comes to realization what a friend really is. “Someone you can sit with and say absolutely nothing, and still have the best time.
Rather than making it a separate series, I wish Disney had surprised us with these shorts ahead of Disney+ movies, to give the same feeling of seeing a Pixar short in theaters for the first time. But regardless, the shorts, which also co-star “Hamm” (aka. The Piggy Bank), are the quality that you would expect from Pixar, but in a size that you can get down in one bite.

“Forky Asks a Question” will premiere on Disney+ on November 12th, with the second episode debuting on November 15th.
