This mostly-forgotten ’80s comedy features Dan Aykroyd, a very young Tom Hanks, and Plummer as a TV evangelist.

This is probably Plummer’s most popular role as Captain Von Trapp, but he hated the film! He called the role “humorless and one-dimensional.” Plummer spent the rest of his life referring to the film as “The Sound of Mucus” or “S&M.”
