Disney+ has entered the culinary world — it is set to launch the upcoming cooking show “Be Our Chef.”
The competition series, hosted by Angela Kinsey (“The Office”), is another brand marketing effort by the Walt Disney Company. Five families from diverse backgrounds are charged with cooking dishes utilizing Disney characters. These theme-oriented efforts include Olaf from “Frozen” and Cinderella.
Two families will then square off to compete for the grand prize — producing a specific dish that will be presented at Walt Disney World. Disney chefs will act as judges.
“Be Our Chef” will debut March 27 and joins various other upcoming Disney+ shows. For example, the conclusion of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” begins on Feb. 21 with “The Bad Batch” episode. The 12 new episodes detail the events leading up to “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.”
On the fantasy-romance front, “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings,” season two, just returned to the streamer.
Future Disney+ series include “The Mighty Ducks,” based on the 1992 movie. Lauren Graham (“Gilmore Girls,” “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”) and Emilio Estevez will headline the cast.
While the hit “The Mandalorian” returns in October, the much-anticipated “Rogue One” prequel starring Diego Luna begins shooting this year.
