About Queen Sugar
Season five wrapped with all of the show’s characters heading toward a fresh start. Ralph (Kofi Siriboe) and Darla (Bianca Lawson) are growing their family, while Charley (Dawn-Lyen Gardner) gives Davis (Timon Kyle Durrett) another chance. Blue (Ethan Hutchison) started school in D.C. Nova (Rutina Wesley) and Calvin’s (Greg Vaughan) relationship status is unclear as he turns himself in for his involvement in a police brutality case.
This season, Ralph and Darla’s baby’s arrival is getting closer. Nova continues to stand up for what she believes in by fighting against political corruption, while Charley is left to make a life-altering decision.
Season six features four new additions to the cast. Tammy Townsend becomes a regular as Prosper’s daughter, Billie, who hasn’t been to St. Josephine’s in 20 years. Paula Jai Parker plays Celine, a single mother of a 10-year-old son, who recently moved to town. Viewers will also get to meet Isaiah, played by Marquis Rodriguez, who’s a friend of Micah’s. Lastly, McKinley Freeman will star as Dominic, a cultural anthropologist.
