According to a report out of The Information, Live TV Streaming Service, fuboTV is looking to raise $200 million in new funding to take on DIRECTV NOW, Hulu Live TV, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV, and YouTube TV.
This comes after the service raised $75M just four months ago. The company is backed by media companies AMC Networks, 21st Century Fox, Scripps Networks Interactive, Sky, as well as Luminari Capital and Northzone.
The service which started as geared for sports fans (and more specifically soccer fans) has expanded their offering to include channels from Turner, AMC, and Scripps Networks.
fuboTV now offers over 400 local affiliates from CBS, NBC, & FOX, Regional Sports Networks from Fox Sports, NBC Sports, MSG, and NESN, as well as 21 of the Top 35 cable channels for $45 a month.
The company also became first vMVPD to offer 4K live streaming with their broadcast of the World Cup this summer.
