Amazon’s ‘Hunters,’ Starring Al Pacino and Executive Produced by Jordan Peele, Premieres in February

Amazon Prime Video’s thriller “Hunters” will debut February 21.

The show, which profiles a group of Nazi hunters in 1977 New York, stars Oscar-winner Al Pacino (“The Godfather,” “The Irishman,” “Scent of a Woman”) and is executive produced by Oscar-winner Jordan Peele (“Get Out,” “BlacKkKlansman”).

David Weil, whose grandmother was a Holocaust survivor, created the series. He told EW he saw her stories “as comic-book stories, stories of grand good versus grand evil, and that became the lens through which I saw the Holocaust.”

Weil has now transformed stories of real-life Jewish heroes into screen heroes. The Amazon drama opens with comic-book shop clerk Jonah (Logan Lerman, “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”) being recruited by Meyer Offerman (Al Pacino) to join the Hunters.

The Hunters learn high-ranking Nazis are hoping to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. and band together to bring them to justice and prevent another genocide.

The series also stars Jerrika Hinton, Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker and Lena Olin.

“Hunters” is produced by Amazon Studios, Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment. Weil does double duty as executive producer.
