Chris Pratt’s next TV gig will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
The “Parks and Recreation” actor will star and executive produce “The Terminal List,” based on the Jack Carr novel. Pratt plays a Navy SEAL ambushed during a secret mission. Once home, however, dark forces threaten both his life and his family’s.
Pratt co-produces “Terminal List” with Antoine Fuqua, who will direct the pilot. Previously, they worked together on “The Magnificent Seven.” Insiders say the show is expected to be seasonal versus a limited series.
The Hollywood Reporter noted an added layer to the creative effort: “Producers plan to assemble a writing staff where half the scribes are either veterans themselves or have veterans in their families and having vets and their families as part of multiple aspects of the show.”
The series is being developed by MRC Television. David DiGilio (“Strange Angel,” “Crossbones”) will headline scriptwriting.
The Amazon project is Pratt’s big return to TV since his seven-year run on “Parks and Recreation.” Since then, he has been more of a big-screen presence, best known as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in four Marvel Cinematic Universe, including two “Guardians of Galaxy” movies.
He also was featured in the “Jurassic World” films and Pixar’s “Onward.”
