“America's Got Talent” is coming back and, of course, no audience members are allowed. The summertime favorite will return tonight for season 15’s first live episodes beginning at 8 p.m ET on NBC.

Though we’re in the middle of a pandemic, AGT won’t hold back on its renowned penchant for odd and amusing talent. The live show will feature 44 acts who will display a wide range of talent, from singers, dancers, comics, magicians and death-defying high-flyers.
It seems this season is riddled with some bad luck for the judges, however. Back in March, Heidi Klum had to stop filming the show after she fell ill. Although she wasn’t diagnosed with the coronavirus, she missed the filming of some of the earlier episodes in the season and was temporarily replaced by Eric Stonestreet.
Now, as the live rounds prepare to make a comeback, Simon Cowell is slated to be absent from the first two shows as he is recovering from surgery after injuring his back. According to Deadline, the notorious judge underwent a five-hour surgery and is in the hospital recovering. The panel will go on with judges Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara with Kelly Clarkson filling in for Cowell, according to USA Today.
