The series can be streamed exclusively with a subscription to Disney+.

About Star Wars: Visions

Star Wars: Visions challenges everything fans know about Star Wars by combining the nostalgic with the new. Never-before-seen heroes wield the force in exciting new ways, duel in new styles, and stand beneath the ominous shadow of a Star Destroyer or cheer in the stands of the Tatooine pod race. How far removed each episode is removed from treading old ground depends on the studio. Production I.G. Guilty Crown imagines a galaxy where the Jedi Order is long extinct, but the elusive Master Juro wants to revive it. Another, Ronin “The Duel,” is from Kamikaze Douga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and takes its inspiration from Samurai - the ancient tradition and lore that inspired a young George Lucas to conceive of Jedi in the first place.

Other studios involved are TRIGGER, Kinema Citrus, Science Saru, Studio Colorido, and Geno Studio. Each will not only offer a different approach to storytelling but a new animation style that best encapsulates their singular vision of the titular universe. Lucas long considered Japanese mythology and the films of Akira Kurosawa to be his major influences, and it’s exciting to see Star Wars return to its earliest roots.
