‘Justin Bieber: Seasons’ Scores Record-Breaking YouTube Originals Debut

YouTube Originals debuted “Justin Bieber: Seasons,” a 10-part docuseries on January 27 — and it is a massive success. The company says the premiere episode ranks as YouTube Originals’ most-watched debut in its first week — 32.6 million views reaching 97 countries.

Plus, the mega-watt Grammy-winning Bieber broke another record: The first artist to hit 50 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, reports Deadline.

The series “Justin Bieber: Seasons” is an intimate look at the making of his first album in four years and focuses on how the artist creates music. Bieber also serves as an executive producer.

The docuseries is directed-executive produced by Michael D. Ratner, OBB Pictures. Joe Termini, a photographer and artist, will also direct episodes.

Bieber has also sold an estimated 150 million records worldwide, with over 44 million in the U.S., according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

An ad-sponsored version of “Justin Bieber: Seasons” is free to viewers, with new episodes each Monday and Wednesday. Users with YouTube Premium, at $12-per-month, can watch ad-free.
