Ameba is a children’s video streaming service that is full of educational programming. The content catalog comprises 14,000+ episodes and 2,800 hours of kid’s shows.
There is a Free ad-supported version that allows you to watch up to five episodes per show. However, there are some shows that are exclusive to Premium members. The Premium (ad-free) plan is $3.99/month, $19.99/year, and $39.99 for three years. You can also watch one free, ad-supported video per show when you use the service as a guest.
We recommend adding Ameba as a channel on Amazon Prime Video so you can access the content on that platform as well as the Ameba app.
We tested Ameba and other subscription streaming services for more than 100 hours. Ameba is compatible with Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku, Android TV, iPhone/iPad, Android Phone/Tablet, Mac, Windows, Xbox, LG Smart TV, Samsung Smart TV, Sony Smart TV and VIZIO Smart TV.
Titles are organized into multiple categories and span several genres, including education, preschool, classics, movies, animation, music, and more. The educational category has titles such as “Gisele’s Big Backyard,” “Grammaropolis” and “ABC Monsters.”
There are hundreds of kids’ music videos on Ameba like Alex and the Kaleidoscope Band and the Zinghoppers.
There is also a catalog of content from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. For instance, Ameba streams “Babar” and “Franklin and Friends.”
Content is targeted at children ages 3-12 years old.
