Roku has had this feature for a while now, makes travelling with the family is great.

Yes but you need a 2nd device like a tablet or a laptop.

The cable with red white and yellow is about 4 1/2 feet.
The HDMI cable is half that size (very small) this allows you to keep the device close to the tv.
also, USB cable is about the same size as the composite cable.

I haven't yet tried it personally but according to Roku's own website that compares each type, every latest model (including this one) should be capable and have this feature.

Does this work at hotels etc where you need to sign into a wifi secondary web  page?

This model is not rated for use with Xfinity.

I use this roku with my older tv and just ordered another one for our living room tv.  As long as you have a wi-fi signal, it should work just fine.  I love the comcast app on the roku so I can watch live tv on the televisions that do not have a rented comcast box.

yes it will work with Xfinity internet.  I have xfinity internet and have 4 of them running sling tv and netflix.

The Xfinity TV Beta channel will only appear in the channel store for eligible devices. Devices must be on minimum firmware version 7.5.

No, you shouldn't have any problems, very simple plug and play. There is always a toll free number you can call if you have issues but pretty sure you will be asking yourself why you waited so long. Time to put the DVDs on Ebay while they still have value and join the world of streaming. You will never pay a high cable bill again but, will get beat up on internet prices even worse.

I have a Roku and other similar streaming devices. I got rid of cable and started subscribing to SlingTV initially, but switched to PSvue. Sling is cheaper but limited. Since I have kids and 4 TVs, PSvue was a better option for me, because you get more bang for your buck. I have the $50 per month plan and I get all the channels that me and my kids watch. Both SlingTV and PSVue offer a variety of packages and neither require a contract. Both are month to month. I'm currently saving approximately $50 per month by getting rid of cable.

We have xfinity cable and internet.  We are wanting to discontinue cable and go to Roku.  Has anybody had problems doing this?

I love this! I needed to replace my older Roku and wasn't sure what to get. I'm so glad I chose this one. It's so much faster than I thought it would be too. And it's so small. It came with double sided tape so I stuck in onto the bottom of my TV. This TV is older so I needed a Roku with the composite cables. I'm very happy with Roku. I use it as an extra cable box since you can get the spectrum app. And if you want you can access all sorts of free and pay movies or series without paying for cable.

Fast and Small

I bought this Roku Express Plus which comes with RCA Connection for an older Tube TV without a HDMI connection. The picture comes in clear and can access all the things I watch like Netflix, Spectrum. There are also a lot of  free programs available to watch from local networks. If you search the internet you can find all types of tips and tricks for Roku. With the new HD it works great with my TV. I have an older Panasonic TUBE TV with RCA connections, so it works perfectly. You just have to manually unplug the Roku to turn it off. The great thing about this is that I used the Walmart App. to purchase Roku Express Plus for only $35 + tax. Great buy!
